When I went out this morning Henrietta, one of my Rhode Island Reds, was in the nest box. In and out she went.

Henny Penny, another of the RIR pullets, was in the built in feeder -because Henrietta wouldn't let her in the nest box.

I waited with the camera to see what would happen.

    She sat.

    She spun around.

Ginger jumped up to have a look-see. And saw nothing.

    She clucked and scratched.

Another RIR took a look and saw nothing.

She fluffed and huffed and spun around again.

When it was all over she jumped out of the box.

We went back later, without the camera, and Henrietta had left us a lovely little egg as well.
