I have a few free range hens and the other day I saw a couple of them drinking from my small backyard pond. I wouldn't want to drink the water and was wondering if it could be harmful for them. I have noticed poopy rear ends on them. Does anyone have any input on this?
    Thank you,
    Kathy

I would not worry unless its a small stagnant pool of water...no movement...green green..bubbly looking goo! Lol my girls have been stealing sips out of the duck pools for years and their fine;)

Thanks for the input. My pond has a pump and bio-filter so it's not stagnant.
