hens eating eggs

one or more of my hens are eating the eggs. I traded some of my hens with a friends hens and one of hers ate an egg in front of me so I returned that hen. Now others are eating the eggs. What do I do?

Hello, my hens have been doing this too. I tried golf balls.. didn't work. My BO is trying to hatch them as we speak. They keep kicking the golf balls out of the nests. I am hoping to see if anyone else responds with a better idea. Sorry couldn't be much help

Couple of things to try:

Put a curtain over the nesting boxes. They wont' eat what they can't see.

Put some wooden, ceramic eggs, or blown-out eggs in the boxes. They won't eat what they'll find is inedible.

Can you find out which chicken is the leader for the egg eating?

I do know one of them that is eating them. What should I do with her? Do I hang the curtain in front of the box, over the box or both?
