Hen's face goes from pale to bright red. Why?

My hen's face often goes from pale pink to bright red. For example she's walking around with a pale face and once she sees something exciting her face turns bright red. At first I thought she might not be feeling well, but she's acting just fine. Her face turns brighter when she sees treats, gets fresh water in the morning, gets bred by a roo or something like that.

So is that normal for hens?

Not sure why it happens but some of mine do it too, maybe its because the blood starts pumping faster when they are excited and thus makes the face redder. Just a guess.

They flush when they get excited, like how humans do as well.

Umm... around 73 weeks? She hatched somewhere around April 16, 2021. She's definitely laying and I hatched 3 of her eggs. The one behind her in the first photo with the pencil lacing is one of her daughters.
