My Partridge Cochin Bantam Hen Had A Pale Face When I Bought Her 2 Months Ago Till About 3 Days Ago. I Had Been Wondering If The Pale Face Was Due To Worms, Fatty Liver, Lice, Poor Circulation, Or Thats Just The Way It Looked. Anyway She Has Been Laying And Went Broody On Me. The 4th Day Of Brooding The Eggs, Her Face Went To A Beutiful Healthy Red. My Guess Is That The Birds Hormones Kicked Redness In Her Face On. Will She Go Back To Pale Face After The Job Is Done? Can Anyone Explain To Me Exactly Whats Going On? Anyway I Love The Change. Since Iv Had Her She Has Always Been Vibrant, And Energetic. Feathers Looked Fine. Only Concern Was The Pale Face. Anyway I Saw Some People On Here With The Same Type Of Problem. So Its My 2 Cents That In Some Cases Its The Hormones. If Im Wrong Please Correct Me.
