This is the craziest thing! My two sultan hens starting laying a couple of weeks ago. Generally I go and collect the eggs at about 4:00 or 4:30 pm each day. Recently I'm finding that if I don't get there in time they kick the eggs out of the coop! they don't eat them or anything, they just seem to want them out of there!

I don't have a nesting box for them to lay in yet (I had to move them due to some fighting so the coop was hastily built) so perhaps that's why, but it seems very purposeful. I couldn't reach one of the eggs in the corner one time so I left it until the morning and found it on the ground. The hole in the floor where the ramp comes in was probably 4 feet from where the egg had been the night before!

any ideas as to why they might be doing this??
