I put their boxes on the ground to try and get them to lay in the boxes but they will not. Yesterday there was one hen sitting in the box. how do I get the rest of them to start laying in them:confused:

Sometimes you have to train them...with golf balls in the nest..or fake eggs. I use the plastic easter eggs...filled with gravel. Works every time!

It worked well for us to make the laying boxes dark and private. We put burlap curtains on the front. Golf balls worked well as our fake eggs; they couldn't push them out of the nest easily.

    Good luck!
