I ordered my chickens from McMurray Hatchery back in September, so they are approx. 5 months old now. No eggs yet and I don't know how many of them are roosters and what breeds they are? I know one is for sure a rooster but not sure about some of the others. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am new to owning chickens. Thanks :)

Knowing what you ordered would be a help.

Your easter eggers were probably ordered as aracauna or americauns (that's how the hatchery spells it, don't ya'all freak out), they are basically chickens that have a high chance of laying blue or green eggs.

x2. Also, note that EE's are mutt birds... Not Araucanas or Ameraucanas. Still good birds, just mutt birds :)

Thank you for the replies. I ordered the "Rainbow Layer Assortment". They did not guarantee breed types, only that the eggs would be an assortment of colors. I have nothing against mutts, so I'm good with the EE's. I appreciate the help and answers. Thank you.

Well, I think you'll get just what you ordered. I see green, brown and white egg layers there, so you'll have a colorful basket! It's fun getting an assortment and seeing what everyone turns out to be.
