Hens or Roosters?

Is that a chabo on the bottom? Gotta love those tails! I have a hen, her tail is like ten inches tall lol and she only weighs 18 oz., Sure looks like one

That very top one looks like it could be a roo with that red splashy color on the wing, but it is impossible to tell for certain because the picture is so blurry. A picture of each from the side, standing naturally, would be very helpful.

I'm really not even going to venture a guess from those pictures -- but I noticed one thing that you asked about that I don't think anyone has answered yet. Staring each other down and putting their hackles up at each other doesn't mean they're roos. I have several proven hens who do that all the time, lol.

i will hazaord a guess that they are all roos but the black one i think is a pullet...wont say for sure until you can get some better pics though

The yellow with the black tail DEFinitely is a Chabo (Japanese Black Tail Buff). Looks like a roo. They only come in bantam size so he will not get bigger than that. The black looks like it could be an australorp to me....you have one that is yellowish with the black around the head, has the EE/ameracauna puffy cheeks but the long wings that drop and have black tips is a distinct Chabo trait, any chance it is a mix of some sort? Could that little chabo roo be the daddy maybe or it could have come from breeders with other chabos? That would explain the big black tail also if it turns out to be a hen, I am thinking hen.....No clue on the red and white one, I have not owned one anything like that
