I know why mine hens weren't laying an egg.
Shunshine and sofie turn out to be rooster. I fed these chickens all those months and was waiting for one egg. I thought I was doing some thing wrong but I wasn't. They weren't made to lay an egg. [IMG]
I bought them from some one and he told me they were females.
Don't tell some one they are females if you don't know the sex. [IMG]
Just say I don't know [IMG] and it's okay. At least you know then that the chick can be a rooster too.

Sometimes people just make mistakes. Telling the gender of a young chicken is not fool proof. Even the hatcheries that sell pullets don't gurantee 100%. Occasionally even experienced people don't realize they have a roo until it crows or a hen until it lays an egg. It's always risk.
