I have two 2-year old hens and two 8 week old chicks. I've spent the past month slowly trying to integrate the chicks. They spent every day inside of a cage in the larger run. During the time they were in the cage, the older hens went about their business and came out into the run to eat, play, and hang out. Two days ago I removed the cage and all 4 of them were together in the coop and run. The younger ones are staying in the run, and every night I have to push them into the coop. The older ones are now staying inside the coop. Today, they stayed there all day. The food and water is in the run, and so I'm worried they aren't eating or drinking anything. Will they eventually get hungry enough and come out into the run? Or do I need to do something to encourage them? I tried pushing them out of the coop and I couldn't do it. They did NOT want to go!

Any other ideas? I tried scratch and they came out for about 10 mins and then went back inside!
