All of our chicks are four weeks old. Threw the silkies in as well, but I know we can’t tell yet. We have a golden laced polish, a salmon faverolle, a blue laced red Wyandotte, a speckled Sussex, and two silkies.

Give them a couple of more weeks. A lot longer on the silkies. The faverolle is colored as a pullet. So that one I can call.

I just came across this post, I love the photos! Chickies are so cute and funny at that stage. I’m getting a dozen speckled sussex later this year. I’m thinking about getting a couple silkies, because I might want a good broody mama, and also because they are just so darn cute. Any feedback on how the sussex and silkie get along with each other?
