Well, not sure how many of you are on the Gulf Coast of Texas, but looks like we are in for it. We are about 80 miles inland and right north of Victoria. I suspect it is going to get bad. Hubby is buying plywood for the windows and today and tomorrow will be spent picking up and putting everything where it can't blow around. I have no way to transport an entire ranch of animals, so we are making plans to turn out horses and cows to the big pasture and lock up the rest. Chickens have their coops and guinea pigs their barn. Barn cats will find a hole under something I am sure. I am still not quite sure what to do with the Quail. Maybe strap their cage to a fence and cover it with plywood??? I will keep the babies in the house. We are still planning on staying as we know we couldn't get back quick enough to tend to everything. That may change if this thing gets bigger than a low 3. Hope everyone else in our area is able to get safe.
