Here they come! UPDATED (PIC Heavy)

    The mutt eggs are starting to hatch. Here is the first was the smallest egg:


    There are 5 more that have pipped.

    I finally get to take pics with my new camera. Man I can zoom in to the small hairs!

    Chick #1

    There are now 6 chicks and more on the way........

    Oh my goodness, that lil chick JUST hatched I see. What is the mix? I have a chick that my broody hatched out and I can't figure out who the dad is.

    Did you take it through the window? I can't ever get good pictures through the window.

    Yes, I took them all through the window. The camera is a Nikon D40 digital SLR. I have wanted it for a long time and finally decided to get it. I am very pleased so far. Just wish the windows on the bator were bigger!

    The mix is: The rooster seems to be a cross between something and a silkie. It has blue ears and a poor on top of its head. The hens are RIR's and BR's and Ideal 236 white egg layers.
