Got my 15 dollar hovabator cleaned and bleached and dried out.
    Installed the new wafer.
Installed a PC case fan and plugged in a transformer for that.
It is coming up to temp.
In one of the top holes is my meat thermometer, which I checked against 3 other thermometers.
Inside is the Accurite therm/humidity job I picked up at wallyworld today.

I just got back from my buddies house and he gave me:
12 bantam eggs from a BB Red rooster and a barnyard hen.
    4 white speckled Hamburg eggs.

I have marked them and numbered them with x on one side and 0 on the other.
I am stabalizing the temp now.

Wish me luck on my 1st try!!!!!!!!

    Crash and burn..............
The old PC case fan I was using just died right as I was getting the temp stabilized.

Putting a call in to my buddy at work who can get me another fan for free.

Quote:Oh no! [IMG] You were posting about your crash and burn at the same time I was sending well wishes your way. Hopefully you can get things straightened out tomorrow. Meanwhile, store your eggs that you just got at room temp., pointy side down.

Good luck getting the fan replaced. Here's hoping that was the only bad thing that will happen during this hatch -- how about a 100% success rate? [IMG]

Update.......new fan installed about 5:30 PM.
    Coming up to temp now.
Eggs are marked and ready to go in as soon as temps are there and stable.
