Hi, I'm new to the forum, and have wanted chickens, and to build a tractor for a long time. It is 4' x 8', the cage is 2' tall and the coup above is 3' x 4'. I have 4 chickens ranging in ages from 10 weeks to 17 weeks. All get along well, and can't wait for the first egg.

Nice tractor. How do you move it around? By hand?

Quote:Yes, I move it by pulling on the bar, it's resting on the top of the cage, and have wheels on the back. When I move it every couple of days, I only move it about 8 feet.

Beautiful! That is exactly what I need for my 3 gals. I'm not handy and neither is my DH (unless it has to do with computers![IMG])
