hey important read about a rooster with my hens

    so i let my rooster finally go with my hens see i was watching them and the rooster tried to scratch one of my hens wat do i do

    Are you sure he wasn't trying to mate with her?

    A cockerel is a rooster under a year old. And mating activity can take place as young as 8 weeks old, although it's more practice than actual mating at that age.

    but my rooster is 7 months old

    Then he is definitely mating age and I bet anything that's what you saw.
