Introducing myself.
Just started a backyard flock for the first time.
Have a total of 6 chicks, which is more than enough for my situation, but I originally planned on only 2, so I already have experienced "chicken math". LoL
Right now, 3 are 6 1/2 weeks old and 3 are 3 1/2 weeks old - they are in separate brooders, with the older ones due to me moved to their outdoor coop any day now (we have been having a heatwave just past few days, I think it would have been too drastic a change to go from 72 degrees (the coldest I could get their brooder) to 110 which is what is is outside - yikes!)
Live in Central Valley of California.
Wanting the chicks for eggs, and they have quickly become beloved pets. (I just could not keep my heart out of the rearing process)
