    My name is Tara. I'm a stay-at-home mom of 5. Just moved into a house on an acre and am anxious to put some chickens on it! I've got lots of questions but will try not to be too annoying haha. So thankful for a group like this.

    Some nice breeds to consider are Buff Orpingtons, Black Australorps, Wyandottes, Easter Eggers, Plymouth Barred Rocks...all docile friendly breeds and great layers too. Hardy over all as well.
