Greetings from Kansas, stuee, and :welcome! Glad you joined our community! I really don't have an explanation for how prolific your hens are being....it doesn't seem possible. But as long as the eggs keep coming I guess I wouldn't worry! You might post in the link below and see what the folks there have to say: https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/18/chicken-behaviors-and-egglaying
Best wishes and thanks for joining BYC! :)

That's quite a number of eggs in that time frame for just 2 chickens. Are you sure no one is playing a practical joke on you? (Wouldn't be the first time we've seen that happen.) Are you gathering their eggs every day?

G’Day from down under stuee [IMG] Welcome!

Sorry, but unless you have some very extraordinary chickens, I agree that something fishy might be going on.

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

If you would like to share pictures and stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out [IMG]
