Have you seen the chick drink or eat? When taking a chick from the incubator to the brooder it's best to dip the chicks beak tip into water then food. After place under heat source.

This is concerning because usually a healthy chick would be pretty distraught about being in a brooder alone. I would check it over for for injuries or deformities and dip its beak in water ASAP.Only one in the brooder, the chick is only a day old and doesn't really eat or drink.
Mother Nature (and mother hens) have a way of knowing when something's not right. I suspect your chick has a health issue, internal deformity, or has been injured - and that's why the hen was picking on it. Please post pics when you can.Will send you more information when I get home, he doesn't seem to be injured as we immediately took him away from the hen into the brooder.
