    Hi ya'll :)

My name is Matt. I am a university art student and, for my 2016 art project (completing in the fall semester), I am looking to acquire deceased small animals. I live in Virginia and would be able to travel anywhere in Virginia, Maryland, DC, or Pennsylvania. I have been asking around a few auction houses, etc., and have had little luck on acquiring these deceased small animals. This is what leads me here.

As this is BackYardChickens.com, what would be the best way to acquire deceased chickens for the project? (I am looking for other animals too) Is there a specific board on this forum that I can ask this [weird] request?

Without giving away too much detail, the project involves recreating past works of art (paintings, sculptures, etc.) with deceased animals instead.

Any advice on how to acquire such things?

Hi Matt - Y/Coop has given you some good advice. Since theres normally a glut of roosters out there, that one you could do yourself.

    All the best

    Hi and :welcome

 what an unusual project! As @CTKen said, people always have spare roosters around. Good luck!
