Hey guys, hope everyone is doing great! Nice to meet you. It’s my first post, so forgive me if I speak out of turn somewhere 
Last month, we rescued a baby chick near our apartment complex. It was alone and so tiny, and I couldn’t bear to leave it wandering about like that. We don’t live near any pet stores or farms, so my guess is someone abandoned it.
Unfortunately, I soon found out that we actually can’t keep roosters here due to noise issues. But until now, I’m not sure if Jackie is a hen or roo. I don’t even know what breed is this! To us, he (she?) is just ‘chicken’. I never had chickens before so my description of its behaviour might be a little biased. I can say that Jackie is very friendly, gets too excited about food, and very gentle when I feed it from my hand. I hope someone here can help me out. Thanks a lot!
(The pics where J appeared smaller was from a few days after we brought it in. I was told it should be around 1 week age at that time. The other pics were taken today, so its age should be 1 month + 3 weeks)
