i got 4 chicks that are about 5 weeks old & they were all doing great, feathers came in full & then this one started looking like this in places,i don’t see mites & the other 3 aren’t affected. Also this chick seems stressed constantly trying to block the other chickens from eating & running at them all time or flying at them & she’s not eating herself because she too busy worried about everyone else. Her hair sticks up alot, she looks like a wild woman honestly. Is this the normal “pecking order” or could it be stress that is making her behave like that & make her skin like this? If she is making a career out of making everybody else miserable, maybe pen her by herself.

At 5wks, feathering under the wing is sparse ... She could just be slow to mature, looks normal/fine to me. I had one BS like that, everyone had feather but it was still covered in down. She eventually caught up and her feathering is awesome now.

You could add another feeder, placing one at each end of their enclosure ... If it continues, section off their coop with wire for her w/her own feed/water yet she can still be part of the flock. Or put her in a wire dog crate w/food & water, put cage in the coop so she remains part of the flock. See if that helps any, she could just be "bossy" ... What breed?

wire or a dogcrate is a good idea so she can still see the others. I got them at tractor supply i can’t remember the breed name on the sign but they told me easter eggers.

I’m going to try that. They said at tractor supply they were easter eggers, i think she is bossy she acts like a crazy chick the way she sticks her hair up on her neck & gives the others the side eye she reminds me of a banty rooster lol

Can we see the whole bird please?

How are they being housed? Size of brooder?
They’re in a small outside coop now since it got warm for the last week or so now until they get big enough to go to the big coop for good. I moved them out of the brooder bc it was small & i thought that may be the problem but she’s not looking any better or less stressed.
