Hi everyone ,I have a small farm
Turkeys.ducks, chicken's,roosters ,cows ,goats...happiness is bliss no vehicle
It is kinda hard to keep stuff going.
Unfortunately, last week oct 20 I was trying to move my chicken pen so I could fix the fence, after a tree fell
And smashed the fence.. I flipped my
Quad on my chest ...it hurt ...the day before my birthday ... Call 911 and
Spent the last 2 weeks figuring how to redo my chickens pen .... I need more
Room and some way to warm them
Last year I lost almost 13 hens from
Freezing rain broke my heart ....this year I am prepared to light a stove or figure a way next year to make warming stations for my hens .... Solar it is free
Working on it I will keep everyone posted...

Hi Linda and welcome to BYC. Sorry to hear of your woes. Maybe info in these links may give you additional inspiration:

Topic of the week - Winter chicken keeping

This is a useful link of BYC guides to take a look at announcements-feedback-issues-guides.3 I’d suggest including your location using the guide in that link. You can use this link to contact members in your area - Find your State's thread.

Hi Linda and welcome, you sound like a resourceful lady doing all those chores on your own.
I'm guessing your age from your sig but I may be wrong, say where you live there maybe someone on here who could help you from time to time especially as you are injured and trying to work as well.
You may feel a bit humble to accept a helping hand but sometimes you just have to, or is there anyone who does help you from time to time?
