Hi everyone , so nice to find a website where i can meet such like minded, friendly people.
I got into poultry by accident but have come to love reading and learning about chickens and ducks. I have one bantam called Drift, she was left in the garden where i work as a 3 week old chick. She does'nt have any legs but she is all chicken and lives indoors. I also have an indian runner duck called Bumble, he is black and white and has angel wing. He was rescued as a day old by myself after being dropped almost on my head by a Sparrow Hawk flying over head. Unusual for a Hawk to drop anything but Bumble was ok except for a damaged wing that healed after a week. He also lives indoors as he has had a few fits since we had him and the vet said it would be kinder to put him to sleep but i'd never let that happen. Apart from the fits he is healthy and happy to go for walks with the dogs and daily swims in the bath. I adore them both and would'nt change them for the world.
