    Hello everyone
Just wanted to introduce myself! My name is Kristin and I'm new to the chicken world as of November 2016. I have wanted chickens for a very long time and have researched for at least a year before becoming a chicken owner. My husband finally came to terms with the fact that I was not going to give up on getting some girls and finally built me the most beautiful run and coop. As of right now we have 6 English Orpingtons and one rescued Black Jersey Giant. Hopefully this weekend I will add a EE, silver laced Wyandotte and cuckoo maran. So far I am still waiting for the return of eggs! :)

Greetings from Kansas, Kristin, and [IMG]! Great to have you aboard! As a relative newbie to chickenhood, you might consider spending some time reading up in the Learning Center here: https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center It is loaded with useful articles running the full range of chicken keeping.
And, if you like to chat with fellow Wisconsin chickeners, locate the WI thread in this link: https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/26/where-am-i-where-are-you
Best wishes and thanks for joining BYC - enjoy those farm fresh eggs when they start showing up!!!

I hope you enjoy BYC. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun. Unlike non chicken loving friends, family and colleagues, BYC’ers never tire of stories or pictures that feature our feathered and non feathered friends [IMG]
