Hi everyone,

New to the group. I'm a proud owner of 20 chickens. I have 16 hens and 4 roosters.

5 Americanas Hens
3 Buff Orpington Hens
2 Buff Orpington Roosters
4 Bantam Hens
2 Bantam Roosters
2 Wynn Dot Hens
1 Leghorn Hen
1 Bantam/Americana Mix Hen

Holy Moly that is a lot of chickens - Welcome!!!!...... and have you heard the term chicken math yet? You will! Chickens are like potato chips you can just have 20......

unless you intend to separate the breeds to have pure bred stock to offer, you don't need that many roosters. One rooster can handle 10 hens. So 1 and 1/2 rooster would be plenty.

too many roosters and they can overbreed your hens to the point of damage or death. You do not need any roosters if you just want to have eggs .
 
Well I didn't even get to the point of where all my chickens are, the ages, what chickens are with each other, ages, am I selling a rooster or two. Got it covered. Thanks though.
