After much lurking around I have finally become a member!

I had 2 groups of fryers this summer for meat, but I love my layers. I have 6 red cross which I got in May they were already laying eggs. Now I have my babies, they are 5 weeks old. They are 1 barred rock, 3 new Hampshire reds, 4 black australorps, 3 silver laced wyandottes, 3 easter eggers, 1 black australorps rooster and a mystery chick which I think is a cuckoo maran.

Black Australorps are my favorite standard breed; extremely hardy, calm and gentle (my children, and now my granddaughter, made lap pets of ours), and excellent layers of large, brown eggs.
