I had 2 groups of fryers this summer for meat, but I love my layers. I have 6 red cross which I got in May they were already laying eggs. Now I have my babies, they are 5 weeks old. They are 1 barred rock, 3 new Hampshire reds, 4 black australorps, 3 silver laced wyandottes, 3 easter eggers, 1 black australorps rooster and a mystery chick which I think is a cuckoo maran.

I love all the information found here. Looking forward to getting to know you!

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. You have a great group of layers. Black Australorps are my favorite standard breed; extremely hardy, calm and gentle (my children, and now my granddaughter, made lap pets of ours), and excellent layers of large, brown eggs. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck in getting those eggs.
