I've been thinking for some time about getting a few chickens, but I'm nervous about them being able to handle the cold winters on the coast, and also we have a lot of predators here, skunk, raccoons, and plenty of free roaming cats. I'd also need to build a coop. So, I stumbled upon this site looking for this information.
