Hi everyone! So glad to have found this forum. We are new to chickens and you have so much good info here. We are in the process of building our coop and since we live up in the northern part of Arizona it has to be cool for the summer, warm for the winter and safe from our "local" predators ,hawks, foxes, coyotes and the occasional elk. I know elk don't eat chickens but they are tough on fencing. They just kind of amble through everything! We also raise Bassett Hounds.
