Hello! Yay! Another member in the DFW area!
I have chickens (and now guineas) to help battle the grasshoppers that take over my garden each year. There's thousands of them in the grasslands and fields East of Dallas. Do you have this same problem in Tarrant County?
We've had chickens for 10+ years, if you have questions concerning our geographical area, don't hestitate to ask!

Thank you Redpennies15! Yes, the grasshoppers are terrible here, though I actually live on 3 acres in Parker County. I have a small flock & I was entirely amazed at the eggs I got right through the coldest days this winter! I recently got my first baby chicks and they are so much fun
