Hello everyone! I live in the West of Ireland and am obsessed with bantams. My current favourites (shh don't tell the others) are a gorgeous pair of Japanese bantams

(you can tell the rooster's my favourite, right? I should take a picture of the hen too though, she's very sweet.)
I also have a pair of Astralorps, a pair of white and a pair of quail D'anvers (bearded belgians), a pair of Gold Pencilled Hamburgs, a millefleur Pekin (who won fourth place in The All-Ireland Female Bantam Championship!) and four Pekin chicks (not hers). I'm hoping to breed this year with my bantam pairs, and maybe buy more :)
Any other Irish chicken people out there?

Greetings, fdavey, and [IMG]! So happy you joined us. Very handsome rooster you have there!! There are lots of BYCers from Ireland...don't know if they have their own thread or not. Type in the Ireland in the search bar above - lots of folks pop up. Good luck to you!

Hello and welcome to BYC [IMG] Great to see another Irish member! I'm not Irish myself, I've only moved here recently, but I love the country. We spent some time in Sligo just after we arrived. It's beautiful up there! We considered living there, but we ended up in West Cork, which is also lovely.
