Hi everyone, my name is Linda; I'm a chicken owner-to-be and currently reading and learning lots in preparation for starting our feathery family! Very excited, we'll be building a coop and buying some babies in the next few months. Can't wait!

I am thinking of getting Easter-eggers and Black australorps - and then a brown egg layer, but haven't done enough research yet.

Aren't the Boschveld chickens the most popular there? They have great coloration and I understand make good layers. The Australs will do great also.
