Hi there! My family is brand new to the world of chickens. We just picked up our six chicks on St Patrick's Day and we are so excited to watch them grow. Thanks for all the info you've shared here. It has been so helpful.

Hi and welcome to BYC - congrats on your new chicks!

The Learning Centre is a great resource, even for experienced chicken keepers - loads of info on anything chicken. https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center

Joining your state thread will put you in touch with other BYC members in your area, which can be helpful (just type the name of your state in the search box).

    All the best

Congratulations on your first flock! Raising chickens is a great hobby for the entire family. Feel free to share a photo of your chicks if you'd like, those are always fun to see.

    Thanks for joining us!
