LOVE the site!!!! So much information and fun.

Nifty posted this Q &A so I thought I'd use his idea:

    (1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?

I grew up 20 minutes outside of NYC but I've always loved chickens! I had chickens as a kid and used to walk my dad to the bus stop with my rooster, Chantecleer on a leash. (that's us trick or treating together.

    (2) How many chickens do you have right now? 2
Although I love chickens, I haven't had them in years but our church got community chickens to give eggs to the poor and one got very sick so I took her home and have been treating her with injections of LA 200, Vetrx, scrambled eggs and liver. She was great for about 2 weeks and has rebounded. I'm gonna do the injections for a longer time and hope it takes. She's the sweetest little girl. (she is separated from our other hen)

    (3) What breeds do you have? Buff Orpinton (Chloe) and a Cuckoo Maran (no name yet)

    (4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com? (searching for a way to treat my ailing chicken, Chloe- THANKS FOR ALL THE ADVICE.

    (5) What are some of your other hobbies? I'm a full time singer, so I'm usually singing nearly every day.

    (6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. I'm married to a great guy, who's also a full time musician. We've got a great dog, Lucy and a cat, Elvis.

That's a first for me. I've never heard about Halloween / trick or treat chickens. Next you can train some banties to pull a small santa with his sled. Imagine the news coverage you could get. Good publicity for chickens.

If my youngest daughter discovered that a chicken could be leash trained, my poor birds would not get any peace!
