I just joined the other day to ask a question about one of my chickens that's molting.

It looks like a great group of chicken farmers here so I thought I'd say hi, officially [IMG]

    Hi!

I'm Nicole. I've had chickens for about 3 years now. I got my first flock in Jun 2009. Mostly Rhode Island Reds and Barred Plymouth Rocks, and 2 Silver laced wyandottes. Only one of them are left. Foxes and hawks got them the first year. The last girl standing is named Wonky because she looks a little silly because her comb flops back and forth. She's also a little slow!

We re-stocked in June 2010 with 16 total - more Barred Plymouth Rocks, 4 Light Brahmas and 4 Buff Orpingtons.

I haven't named any of the new flock. Having all my first babies killed kind of took the fun out of it for me [IMG] But I still enjoy them!

Looking forward to learning more in this community.

[IMG] Hello Nicole and welcome to BYC! This is my first flock and I brought the first chicks home in March. It's been an amazing experience raising them thus far. It's very nice to meet you.
