Hi peeps.
I've browsed this site many times over the past couple years. Finally joining. Thanks for all the great advice! Never thought I'd be a chicken fanatic! But, here I am.
We (me, hubby, 3 girls in grade school) are not totally new to chickens. Started with a few hens a couple years ago and recently branched out to some new breeds.
We have 5 NH Red hens, 5 Silver Wyandotte hens, 4 Black Sumatras (2 hens and 2 roos), and 4 Easter Eggers (2 hens and 2 roos).
We also have 6 Bourbon Red turkeys (4 hens and 2 toms). Plus, 2 yellow labs (brother and sister) and 6 Soay Sheep (3 ewes, 2 rams and 1 wether). Oh, and at the moment, we have one Suffolk/HampX market lamb for 4H.
Oh! I can't leave out that we have a bunch of eggs in the 'bator. First hatch ever. Two days and counting!
See you around.
