I have been reading almost daily for 7 months (ever since we got our first 2 chicks!) and finally decided to join!
We have 3 pet chickens now - since of course, 2 wasn't enough because when you'd pick one up, the other freaked out in anxiety that her playmate was gone! So I took the kids up to a small family owned, free-range chicken farm, and we picked out the friendliest pullet we could find to join our girls. Of course, 3 wasn't enough either, so I bought some white Ameraucana eggs and we are 10 days into our first hatch!
