Cocopuffs is one of our roosters and has a lot of personality. We have 10 hens and 2 roosters. Our roosters only had a problem when Big Red tried to "befriend" Cocopuff's girlfriend, Ginger (they are almost inseparable. When Ginger goes into the henhouse to lay an egg, Coco paces back and forth at the doorway until she comes out.) As long as Big Red stays away from Ginger, all is well. And truly, he has only tried twice. We are highly entertained by our hens. One of them only lays her eggs in a sink from a vintage VW bus we have in the garage. When we brought it in to the house to refurbish it and the other cabinets, this silly hen had a fit and would not leave us alone until she was brought into the house and set in the sink so she could lay her egg. We then let her out the front door and she joined the rest of the crew out in the yard. One of our hens has been fearless since we obtained our chickens at age 4 weeks, she follows us around and eats out of our hands, allowing us to pet her and carry her around. I just wanted to introduce myself and my "family". We also have a kitten that chases chickens around and leaves dead and half dead lizards all over the house for us, and an old lady cat that rarely comes out of her bedroom. Anyway.....we call cocopuffs that because when he gets upset, he runs in circles and sounds like he is saying, "ccccccuckooforcocopuffs, ccccccuckooforcocopuffs!" Hahahaha! He is a character! They all are!
