There are quite a few types of chicken which are golden with red wattles and comb. How about a picture? Ideas I have off the top of my head are buff orpingtons or red stars.

There are lots of breeds that might fit that description. Can you post a picture of them for us. Without a picture, it's like shooting in the dark.
