No, 4-H kids don't always put themselves to bed at dusk

but, chickens will go to their coop and roost when it gets dark and you can add a night light for them if, you want.

Welcome to BYC! Chickens do go to bed at dusk, sometimes they think of roosting at 4-5:00pm around here..

Ohhh Fried Green Eggs, I'm in 4H, i'm still awake!

I allow several of My Chickens to Free Range they do not all always go in the Coop , but usually are not Hard to encourage in .. I do have two that blatently refuse to go in My Hen house and Roost with my Goats . And I wish I had something as Funny as Fried Green Eggs had to add as That gave me a Good Bed time Laugh !

Hello and welcome!

My little guys know it's bedtime whenever the frogs start peeping at dusk - between 7 and 8 pm - and put themselves to bed!! I just go out there and shut the door! Also I take down their food and water so nothing is tempted to visit while they are sleeping :)
