[IMG] I everyone I hope this is the right place to introduce myself. I live in Weaverville NC am divorced and have 4 children 3 boys ages 9, 3, and 4 months, and one girl shes 4 and thinks she is the boss of the others:rolleyes:. I doen't have any chickens yet but I plan on getting some soon I would like to have maybe 3 or 4 or 5 just for the eggs. My grandparents had chickens when I was growing up and I always liked them they were fun to watch run around the yard chaseing bugs. Anyways this looks like a great place to meet alot of nice people and learn somethings to. Looking forward to getting to know everyone and there flocks.

    Hello! [IMG] Welcome to BYC!

Be forewarned...our mission in life is to enable. We have a hard time supporting anyone's plan for just a few chickens...LOL.

No, really..we are actually an underground network of super-intelligent chickens sitting at our computers, encouraging people to add more and more chickens to their flocks, all the while giving out sage advise on how to care for them in luxurious style...

    HeeHee...Glad you found us!

welcome to byc. I too at first only wanted a handful of chickens for eggs but since joining the land of chicken enablers now have 37 pullets and one delightful roo. Kids just love chickens by the way.

Welcome to the BYC! Ohhhh, I wanted only 6 or 7 for my DH and I. That was last year.....this year...we are over 60 chickens, 8 ducks, and 2 turkeys. Im not sure HOW that happened! [IMG] [IMG] What was once a nice quiet little flock...in one little coop and run...is now several flocks... with 5 coops, and 2 more going in soon! Welcome to the MADNESS of being owned by a chicken flock. [IMG]
