I'm Deborah, I am 54 and live 70 miles west of Houston TX; I've had backyard chickens for several years, and learn something new everyday. My chickens are strictly for egg laying.

I currently have 33 chickens, 24 in the laying yard and 9 newbies in the growing pen.

We have Americauna, P236, spekled Sussex, wellsummer, Austrolorp, Buff Orpington, black sexlink, red sex link, gold sexlink. I also have ducks.(is it ok to talk duck on here?) I have a Rouen drake, 4 rouen hens and 2 Black East Indie hens.

I raise beef cattle and horses, love to hunt, fish and just about anything outdoors.

I am married to Robert <3 <3, we have 4 grown children, 3 grands and one on the way. Our kids at home are 3 mini doxies, a kitty, a ring necked dove and a singing finch.

You also have lots of other animals that must keep you very busy too. I like to keep busy with all mine it's good for the mind.
