Hi everybody; My name is Tai and I am from Granite City Illinois. We currently are not allowed to keep hens. I am working to change that. I have started a Backyard Chicken Revolution in our city and I am looking for anybody from Granite City or even those from surrounding towns who are interested in changing ordinances. I love my girls, they are Browns about 1 1/2 months old now. We have to keep them inside but bring in and grow greens for them. They are beautiful girls and very healthy. I hope to make lots of friends on here and meet like minded people in our area. I can't wait to hear about all of your birds.

I have been keeping chickens in Granite City for two years. Last week I got a ordinance violation notice and told to remove my chickens. I am on the agenda at the Tuesday, May 20th City Council meeting. It begins at 7:00 at the Granite City Hall. If your still interested in changing the ordinances, please attend tomorrow's meeting.
