I live on the Western side of Missouri. I have 8 chickens, 3 Rhode Island Reds (Edina, Patsy, and Bubble that I adopted from the shelter and am now wondering if perhaps they aren't roosters :( ), 1 Lavendar Ameracauna (Magnolia), 1 Black Americauna (Pickwick, she was born with a crooked neck so the breeder gave her to me. She's doing awesome and is very personable), 1 Red Sussex (Prudence), 1 Lemon Cuckoo Orpington (Saffy), and 1 bantam that I can't remember breed named Claudia Bing. So far I'm really loving it.

Greetings from Kansas, AlisonDS, and [IMG]! Happy you joined us! What are they doing that suggests they are roosters? You can post some pics soon over in the What Breed or Gender Is This forum for advice. Good luck to you!!

Hello and welcome to BYC [IMG] I had a look and I'm afraid I agree, they are roosters. Sorry!

Thank you for taking a look. I'm trying to get a hold of the breeder I got my others from to see if she'd adopt these boys rather than taking back to the shelter. I'm in too tight of quarters to get away with even one rooster :(

I just thought I had 3 really beautiful chickens! If I didn't live so close to neighbors and where roosters are illegal I'd be happy to have them live out their days here :(
