Beautiful day in Northern Vermont! Is there a time period before I can post photos, or am I doing something wrong? (No shocker there.) We've been off the grid in a tiny cabin for 3 years. Chicks seemed impossible, as we were hiking in gasoline, propane, and relying on collected rain water. Circumstances changed this spring when my last son flew the coop with his new bride. From 12 X 24 to 2400 square ft.! In two days, the downstairs bathtub had 10 chicks in it.I figured we've spent 3 years without
a tub, sure don't need two. Another batch of chicks coming next week! Looking forward to learning lots.

Wow that is so awesome to hear Thamasin and no there is no limit for when you can post pictures. It is awesome to have you part of our BYC community! I am so happy to hear your bathtub is sufficing a home for your flock! I am sure you are very excited for your new chicks coming I sure am and they arent even mine LOL. Yes this is a place for people to ask questions and learn a lot about chickens. If you are planning on learning how to take care of your chicks I would recommend going to the raising backyard chickens section https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/64/raising-backyard-chickens there you can find various topics such as incubating, feeding and watering, and even injuries and cures! I am so happy you decided to join our BYC community and I hope you have as much fun on here as I do!

That is just about the cutest thing ever! I think we all wish we could have a chick bath! That was very creative of you! I think you should write about your chicks home in one of our writing contests. They are free to enter and you may be able to win a prize and be featured on our home page! If you want the link to that forum it is https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/15879/sponsored-content-contests-and-giveaways or if you just wanna post your story for fun you can post it here https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/39/pictures-stories-of-my-chickens hope your flock is doing well!

Yes, when the kids leave the nest, time to fill it right back up again!! Ha! Nothing better than a bathtub FULL of chickens!! Ha!

Definitely follow the links provided above to other areas of BYC. And if you have any questions about your little ones, be sure and ask!

So make yourself at home here and we do welcome you to our flock! :)

Beautiful area, though the snow gave me a jolt. I'm not ready to see any for a few months. Welcome to Backyard chickens. Glad you joined us.
