Okay quick introduction .... My husband John and I, are retired and live in a rented house in Southern Thailand. There is a large fruit garden around the house which is completely open to any wildlife that cares to join us or pass through. Our latest visitors are a very smart couple, a pair of bantams, Archie & Agnes. Where they came from we have no idea but Agnes has been laying in an old wire hanging basket stored at the side of the house. We decided to leave the eggs, hoping she might go broody and sit. This morning she has honoured us with her presence so we now have 9 eggs. They live completely free range, roosting in the trees at night and foraging for food. We prefer that they live this way as there are snakes, monitor lizards etc.

We do have a bird house of sorts and would like to be prepared if Agnes goes broody.

What lovely visitors to your garden! I hope Agnes does decide to go broody and hatch some chicks for you. They may decide to stay..
