Hi yall

Hi, I'm kinda new on here, I have grown up looking after chickens for most of my life, I am no expert though, we bought chickens as pets, no, I do not live in the countryside, I live in a suburb and I have quite a spacious garden. We started off with three chickens and after they all passed away we decided to buy more so we bought 7 hens and we had one rooster. I always wanted them to breed and once they started they just didn't stop after that. at some point we had about 60 but gradually they decreased, either it was the cat next door or they decided to adventure and went missing. we currently have about 15 chickens left, the oldest is 12 years old, the last of the 7 hens that we bought. things are going swell and im so happy to be here because it would be amazing to learn more about them to keep my babies healthy and happy and to be able to give them a high standard of living.

My eldest bantam had to be killed due to reproductive problems a shot while ago. She was at least 9 years old and I and her tribe miss her.

aww mahn, im so sorry, yes you tend to get attached to them, especially when you know them for a very long time...

Thanks, yes I am so thankful that my neighbors don't have problem with them making a noise or wandering the street sometimes
