Well, you are welcome to stay or go. It's up to you. I'll say welcome to BYC. It can be a source of knowledge and help if you choose to avail yourself.

No, I found it odd and annoying to introduce yourself.

Welcome to BYC! Please make yourself at home and we are here to help.

Don't be afraid to introduce yourself. We love meeting the newbies and getting to know you. BYC is a great place to develop friendships with fellow poultry lovers and what better way to start a friendship than by introducing yourself!?[IMG]

Welcome to BYC, but its not compulsory to introduce yourself. I'd suggest doing what pleases, rather than annoys you.

Sorry if I came off a little strong, let me start over! I dont have any birds now but plan on getting geese, ducks, chickens, and guinea fowl this spring. I joined to find out more information on the breeds I am wanting to get.

Well, that's certainly one memorable way to introduce yourself.

If you haven't already done so, check out the Learning Center...in addition to all the chicken information, there's a section on "other poultry" such as ducks and geese.

    Good luck!
